Earlier it was the president and now its Michael Moore. Both of their opinions are often controversial and on equally if not more controversial subjects.
Although, as much of an un-american thought it seems, I would rather not see ANY religious structures at ground zero. While the imam might be an excellent person and the idea of having an Islam community center at such site may even be beyond human, the fact still remains this world is full of humans. I would rather not see some extremist group crying foul after the structure is put in place. As an Indian I have seen disasters surrounding religious shrines and controversial venues and I am more than convinced it is not the brightest of ideas. While India is equally democratic if not more than America, if it didn't go too well in India, it could certainly do worse in America.
